Bettina's work as it is today has been influenced by her musical background and the diversity of her movement and dance training. Music and dance are two modes of non-verbal communication that are linked to each other by their differences, similarities and complementary qualities. Bettina's fascination with this relationship has always been a guiding factor in her work. Through her interest in other art disciplines and in fields such as philosophy, science and sociology she links her work to other surroundings in a larger context.
