My work is propelled by my love and fascination for the dancing body and its ability to create, transform and speak with physicality, imagination and wisdom.

My choreographic and performative work centers around composing in real time.

My studies in music gave me access to the infinite layers of listening and the richness that rhythm, stillness, sound, resonance and musicality bring to both playing music and dancing. The interplay of the dancing body and live-music in performance is one of my main interests.

Another field that inspires me is human ecology. I understand dance as a powerful, living art form resonating with the social, ecological and global issues that we are dealing with. With this I have developed a movement practice in natural environments that I share through projects and special workshops.

As a teacher I’ve built a thorough body of personal work. It is anchored in my long experience as a dance artist, including my training in martial arts, ki-practice and experiential anatomy.

As a mentor I bring my embodied knowledge, passion and experience to support professionals, students and others in their individual process.

Having trained in Skinner Releasing Technique™ (SRT) and Critical Response ProcessSM (CRP) I offer these practices in addition to the teaching of my own work.

My practice as a dancer and my interest in the self-healing capacities of the human body inspired me to study different holistic healing methods. Alongside my work as a dance artist I work as a healing practitioner.

Studies and influences

I studied music and movement education at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, dance at the Theatre School in Amsterdam and I hold an MA Creative Practice Dance Professional Pathway from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London in partnership with Independent Dance. I’m a certified Skinner Releasing Technique™ teacher at both Introductory and Ongoing levels.

In 2016 I completed my training as healing practitioner in the Intelligenz des Lebens® Heilweisen and in 2020 as a Divine Plan Healing Advanced Practitioner.

My work as dance artist has been especially inspired by my studies with artists Julyen Hamilton, Joan Skinner and Stephanie Skura and my training with Steve Paxton, Deborah Hay, Lisa Nelson and double-bass player Barre Phillips.
