The privilege of sharing

2024 started right away with 4 workshops I was invited to in Germany, Czech Republic and Switzerland to share Joan Skinner's work with different dance communities.
A 4-day course as part of Wintertanz at Tanzfabrik Berlin with 22 dancers was followed by a week of teaching for Tanzwerk Kassel in the beautiful studio of SOZO visions in motion.

Time with nature

In 2023 I had the opportunity to share my outdoor practice in natural environments with others in various places in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Propelled by new insights and curiosity I look forward to continuing my research in 2024 and offering further workshops in different countries.

Swirling liveliness in a black box

This November I followed the invitation of Assoziacione Dissonanzen to teach a workshop Technique and Instant Composition, together with my colleagues Giacomo Calabrese, Piero Leccese and Ursula Sabatin and with the collaboration of 5 musicians of the Orchestra Elettroacustica Officina Arti Soniche at the theatre Sala Assoli in Naples.

At 2000-2700m altitude

This August I had the privilege of being high up in the mountains of the canton Grisons for several weeks, hiking 5-8 hours a day at 2000-2700m altitude through nature.
Probably no better opportunity to return after a little while to my outdoor practice in this breathtakingly beautiful and wild environment.

SRT Summer Intensive in Bern

It is with great pleasure that I look back on the 5-day Summer Intensive SRT - Opening into New Territories, that took place 24 - 28 July 2023 at Akar Studio in Bern. It was a honor to work at the probably oldest studio for contemporary dance in town, where artistic work has been created and dance history has been written for over 5 decades.

After having waited since 2020 for the opportunity to meet finally in person we, Canadian dance artist Susanna Hood and I are thrilled to meet finally in person in Berlin from 22 to 29 November and work on a first version of TENDING DECAY, an interactive installation inspired by the pandemic experience and exploring caring for the other in absence.

A visit to earth, air and trees

Together with a wonderful group of participants I spent this late autumn 2 days in the large nature reserve of the Oberwald in Karlsruhe. A breathtaking eco-system with a unique biodiversity of trees such as Pedunculate oaks and hornbeams, shrubs, fungi, animals and insects of all kinds: An unforgettable visit to our ancestors, that came to earth millions of years before us.
