Branching into new connections

As part of the ongoing series Fields of Belonging this workshop explores ‘branching’ as one of the fascinating key principles that nature uses in all kinds of organisms, including the human body. Experiencing branching in playful ways activates inner connections in our moving body and reveals new ways to connect and respond to the environment we are dancing in.

Combining simple movement activities with an awareness of our breathing opens our senses and our permeable body, made of tangible matter.
Through exploring some of our inner branching structures such as the bones of our arms and legs, we can experience expansion and find inspiration in the ongoing interplay of ourselves, the ground, and the surrounding space.
Becoming aware of the branching configurations in other organisms such as plants, trees, animals, streams, we can engage in a dialog with our surroundings in which curiosity, intuition and fluid attention guide our dancing.
The session invites a lively interplay in which we can experience our unique connection with nature and with ourselves.

Fee: € 70,-
Place: Arnhem, forest area Sonsbeek / Zypendaal. Exact meeting place will be communicated in a timely manner.

Payment: a week before the workshop you will receive an invoice and more practical information.
Cancellation policy: if you cancel your participation after 6th April an administrative fee of € 30,- will be charged. If you cancel later than 9th May, the full fee will be charged, except if another person takes your place.
In case the workshop has to be cancelled due to bad weather, the full fee will be refunded.
