We’ll be performing TIDE in two unique spaces that both have been resisting gentrification.
Tripity in Bern has been used to be a carpentry workshop and Rotes Haus in Luzern was a water-gas splitting electricity building.
In our current time, in which more and more venues for art and culture are disappearing, it is of great importance for us, to bring our moving bodies and instruments above all into these spaces. To keep them alive, not only in the present moment, but also in our memories, to celebrate their vibrancy and their raw imperfections.
Rotes Haus will be open to artists only till the end of June 2025. Therefore it will be the third and probably last time we’ll perform in it, before it undergoes a renovation, which will certainly take some of its spirit away.

Gaston Bachelard writes in the chapter House and Universe of The Poetics of Space:
‘….we reach a point where we doubt that we ever lived where we lived (…) This house, as I see it, is sort of an airy structure that moves about on the breath of time. It really is open to the wind of another time. (…) The universe comes to inhabit the house.’
The spaces where we perform TIDE are in a state of ephemerality that is almost as ephemeral as a real-time performance itself.
